Earrings
This piece was created to embody the story of its creation. As with all my earrings, the textures and shapes are unique to my tooling and processes- they are a direct result of the making, instead of an additional step. In this case, that includes the rough saw marks that give light texture and contrast across the surface, and moreover, the jagged shapes around the profile of each piece. This design was introduced to the piece by twisting when it was a piece of square stock, and then the profile is revealed when thin slices were cut off, creating the piece you see here.
